Busch Leads JGR Parade At Darlington
DARLINGTON, S.C. – Kyle Busch put on another clinic Saturday night at Darlington Raceway, leading 107 of 147 laps en route to victory in the NASCAR Nationwide Series VFW Sport Clips Help A Hero 200.
It was a banner day for Busch and for Joe Gibbs Racing, which placed all four of its cars in the top five at the historic 1.366-mile oval. Busch was followed across the line by his teammates Elliott Sadler and Brian Vickers.
Joey Logano was the only spoiler to the JGR party, finishing fourth with the final JGR car driven by Matt Kenseth finishing fifth.
“The guys gave me a great race car. There through the middle part of the race it really started to get loose and we had to make a lot of adjustments to it, but this Monster Energy Camry tonight was awesome,” said Busch, who started from the pole.
Busch’s victory was briefly in doubt late in the event. A crash by Kyle Fowler in turn one brought out a caution flag on lap 120. Busch and most of the field opted to pit for fresh tires at the traditionally abrasive track, but Logano and Austin Dillon opted not to pit.
