Jeffrey Earnhardt In Family No. 5 At RIR

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – A new member of the Earnhardt family will climb behind the wheel of one of the JR Motorsports Chevrolet’s on April 26 at Richmond (Va.) Int’l Raceway.

Jeffrey Earnhardt, son of Kerry Earnhardt and nephew of JR Motorsports co-owner Dale Earnhardt Jr., will drive the No. 5 JR Motorsports Chevrolet at Richmond. It is the first time Jeffrey Earnhardt has driven a car out of the JR Motorsports stable.

The 23-year-old driver has made 14 NASCAR Nationwide Series starts in his young career, earning a best finish of 19th at Daytona Int’l Speedway in July of 2011. He also has 10 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on his resume, including a top-10 finish at Daytona while driving for Rick Ware in 2011.

The team has not yet announced a sponsor for the car.
