Keselowski Is The Man At Richmond

Harvick stayed close to Keselowski for a few laps, but slowly Keselowski pulled away to score his 21st career NASCAR Nationwide Series triumph. He beat Harvick to the finish by .718-second.

“We’ve had a lot of seconds this year, whether it was here in Nationwide and we’ve been really close on the Cup side but we just haven’t been able to get that win,” Keselowski said. “We’ve struggled here at Richmond in both Cup and the Nationwide cars, so it’s great to finally get that turned around.

“I had fun. Kyle raced me really well and so did Kevin. I think this is what racing is supposed to be like, side-by-side and little touches and not big ones. A great race all around here at Richmond,” Keselowski said.

Harvick led a race-high 96 laps, but finished second. He was followed by Busch, who was seeking his fourth-straight Nationwide victory, Brian Vickers and Regan Smith.

The action didn’t end once the checkered flag waved. Brian Scott and Nelson Piquet Jr. had a brief altercation following the race, which started with a last-lap bump that Piquet gave Scott as they battled for position.

Scott, unhappy with the contact, bumped into Piquet on the cool down lap. Piquet retaliated by spinning Scott’s No. 2 Chevrolet around. The disagreement continued on pit road, with Scott and Piquet getting into a shoving match that included Piquet throwing a kick at Scott.
