TALLADEGA, Ala. – NASCAR officials announced Friday that the NASCAR Nationwide Series won’t return to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve during the 2013 racing season.

Series officials were unable to reach a sanctioning agreement with event officials, forcing NASCAR to drop the event from the schedule.

The historic Canadian venue has been a part of the Nationwide schedule since 2007. Drivers to earn Nationwide victories at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve include Kevin Harvick, Boris Said, Ron Fellows, Carl Edwards, Marcos Ambrose and Justin Allgaier.
