Slawson Tops King of the Hammers

JOHNSON VALLEY, Calif. — Randy Slawson won the 2013 King of the Hammers off-road race, finishing more than 20 minutes ahead of the runner-up.
Slawson, who was the winning co-driver in 2007, was in the driver’s seat when he crossed the finish line Friday evening, completing the 185-mile course in 7 hours, 28 minutes and 10 seconds.
Two-time KoH winner Shannon Campbell finished in 7 hours, 48 minutes and 41 seconds to place second.
Third was Charlie Burton with Erik Miller and Ben Napier following.
