Adams Tames Eagle Valley
JIM FALLS, Wis. – Kevin Adams drove to victory in the modified division at Eagle Valley Speedway Sunday evening.
Jesse Glenz and Jay Richardson led the WISSOTA Modifieds to the green flag with Richardson taking the early lead.
RichardsonÂ’’s moment of glory was short-lived as Glenz led lap two with Richardson in second, Adams in third, Mike Anderson, coming from seventh, in fourth and Matt Leer running fifth.
Glenz continued to lead the first 10 laps of the feature with Adams doing his best to grab the top spot as he ran high and low searching for an opportunity to make the pass for the lead.
Lap 11 saw Adams seize the opportunity as he went high and then low making the pass for first sending Glenz to second followed by Anderson, Leer and Richardson.
Sixteen laps into the race the only caution of the race occurred and the field was realigned and everyone once again had a clean look at Adams with Anderson, coming off a Rice Lake win on Saturday night, being the only one to run high on the track as everyone else, including Adams, ran low to protect their positions.
Anderson was able to get up to second, but Adams had the advantage as he went high with one to go and then went low to once again take the win in his CRC Components sponsored car earning his tenth win of the year. Anderson, Glenz, Richardson and Paul Knauf, who had come from seventh late in the race, made up the rest of the top five.
Other winners at Eagle Valley Sunday included Shane Kisling (super stocks), Cory Crapser (midwest modifieds), Adam Soltis (street stocks), Clay Potaczek (pure stocks) and Eric Schultz (hornets).
