Driver Injured In Anderson Crash

ANDERSON Ind. – Tyler Roahrig was injured Friday at Anderson Speedway during a practice crash as part of the ARCA/CRA Super Series super late model event scheduled for this weekend.

Roahrig, 23, was turning his first practice laps when the throttle stuck on his super late model going down the back straight and his car made contact with the turn three safety barrels. The Anderson Speedway safety crew was immediately on the scene and contacted the Anderson Fire Department for assistance to remove Roahrig from his damaged race car.

Roahrig was alert and talking to the safety crew the entire time. He complained to pain to his left arm and legs.  He was transported by air ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
