Glenz Grabs Eagle Valley Modified Money

JIM FALLS, Wis. – Jesse Glenz nipped Matt Leer at the finish line to capture Sunday’s modified feature at Eagle Valley Raceway.

Leer and Mike Anderson led the modified feature to the green and the two battled hard for the high side position as Leer led the first lap. They continued to run one and two for several laps until a midrace caution bunched the field. On the restart, Glenz powered into second place using the lower groove and set out after Leer. Anderson and Jake Hartung battled for third in the same sort of high side versus low side fight.

With one lap to go, Glenz was able to look to the inside of Leer and in the final corner, he edged into the lead and. The two drag raced to a very close side by side finish, with Glenz getting tot he finish line first.

Hartung won the battle for third as Anderson and Jay Richardson rounded out the top five.

Other winners Sunday at Eagle Valley included Shane Kisling (super stocks), Shane Halopka (Midwest modifieds), Mike Knudtson (street stocks), Todd Roshell (pure stocks) and Scott Westaby (hornets).
