KALAMAZOO, Mich. – There is just something about Kalamazoo Speedway that Terry Senneker Jr. likes.

The Michigan native drove to his third straight and fourth overall victory in the annual Kalamazoo Klash for outlaw super late models Wednesday evening, holding off Brian Bergakker in the final 50-lap segment to score the victory and a $10,000 payday.

The race was broken down into three 50 lap segments and Senneker saved the best for the third and final segment. Bergakker was the leader following the conclusion of the second segment, but at the start of the third segment Senneker jumped into the lead at the three-eighths-mile asphalt oval.

Once in front Senneker would not be denied as he drove to a 3.38-second victory over Bergakker.

J.R. Roahrig was third, followed by Steve Needles and Tom Thomas. Jeff Ganus, who last week won the annual New Paris Summer Sizzler in Indiana, was the leader at the end of the first segment and finished eighth.

Kyle Busch, who earlier in the night won the ARCA/CRA Super Series 100-lap event, made his debut in the Kalamazoo Klash. He fell out of the race early after his car began leading fluid. He finished last in the 23-car field after completing just 30 laps.

The finish:

Terry Senneker Jr., Brian Bergakker, J.R. Roahrig, Steve Needles, Tom Thomas, Ross Meeuwsen, Andy Bozell, Jeff Ganus, John Long, Adam Terry, Phil Bozell, Brian Ross, Derek Griffin, Corey Ryman, Brian Maxim, Dakota Carlson, Bud Perry, Mike Brooks, Billy Shannon, Luke Krick, A.J. Foote, Jack Landis, Kyle Busch.
