LaCrosse Chases Down Czarapata
LUXEMBURG, Wis. – Benji LaCrosse held off a challenge from Jason Czarapata to win Friday’s IMCA modified feature at Luxemburg Speedway.
Chad Bartel used the outside row to snatch the lead at the start of the IMCA modified feature. Bartel would keep his machine up top with Czarapata running down low behind him.
Czarapata would find momentum on lap four and take the lead. LaCrosse started 11th and made his way through the field and into second with Shawn Kilgore third. LaCrosse would stay on the very outside of the track and start closing in on Czarapata.
LaCrosse would make his way outside of Czarapata with five laps to go and inch into the lead. Czarapata switched lanes and chased LaCrosse through lapped traffic, but he wasn’t able to close the gap.
LaCrosse would keep Czarapata behind him and pick up his second win of the season. Kilgore picked up the point lead after his third place finish. Kyle Kudick and James Tebon scored top five finishes.
Also visiting victory lane Friday were Charlie Kroll (IMCA stock cars), Tyler Wilson (IMCA sportmods), Rob Waechter, Jr. (IMCA hobby stocks), Tony Everard (street stocks) and Dan Van Pay (four-cylinders).
