Toby Kruse Out As Knoxville GM

Toby Kruse
KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Toby Kruse has reportedly stepped down as general manager of Knoxville Raceway.
Kruse, who took over for the legendary Ralph Capitani at the beginning of the season after being hired in September by the Marion County Fair Board, stepped down from the position on Monday according to a report by The Journal Express.
The veteran promoter brought a great deal of experience with him when he joined Knoxville Raceway, including directing events at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, IMCA late-model races as well as events at Buena Vista and Marshalltown Speedways. Kruse was previously recognized as one of Racing Promotion Monthly’s Regional Promoter of the Year.
“Although it has been a very long process, we feel we have been successful in choosing the best candidate for the job,” stated Board President, Terry Harvey when Kruse was hired last September. “We look forward to the planning process with Mr. Kruse in the off-season so we can kick off the 2012 schedule with a bang.”
