Creeden Tops Battle Of The Bullring

ACCORD, N.Y. – Danny Creeden registered the biggest win of his career in the first New York Truck Parts Battle of the Bullring at Accord Speedway on Tuesday night.

Creeden swapped the lead with invader Mike Mahaney, taking the top spot for good on lap 26 and surviving a pair of restarts on laps 48 and 49 for a $5,925 payday. Jackie Brown Jr., who was involved in a lap-one accident, recovered for second.

Creeden, Brown, Mike Ricci, Mahaney and Andy Bachetti thrilled the fans as they diced for position on the quarter-mile.

Forty-six Modifieds took part in the special. Jerry Higbie Jr. won the 5-lap Joe Winne Memorial Dash for Cash for heat winners, paying $555.

Anthony Perrego dominated the 25-lap Sportsman event and earned $1,860 for his efforts.

A capacity crowd took in the program, which was a first time co-promotion involving BD Motorsports Media LLC and Accord promoters Gary and Donna Palmer.
