Heffner Rules Lebanon Valley Modifieds
WEST LEBANON, N.Y. — J.R. Heffner picked up the victory in the big-block modified division Saturday night at Lebanon Valley Speedway.
Jimmy Burns took the early lead, but a caution flag on lap 13 erased his advantage and allowed J.R. Heffner to catch up. Heffner was second on lap 14 and one lap later Heffner was in the lead and long gone.
Andy Bachetti took home top honors in the 358 modified division, taking the lead with two laps left and holding off Brett Hearn to score the victory.
In the sportsman feature, Olden Dwyer led nearly wire to wire to hold off Brian Sandstedt for his second career win.
In the pro-stock feature, Ricky Duzlak and Jay Casey were out front early, but it was Jason Casey who had the strongest car after he took over the lead on lap five and pulled away to victory.
Dave Stickles dominated pure-stock feature number one while Doug Olds stole the win in pure-stock feature number two. Al Relyea scored the victory in the third pure-stock feature to close out the night.
