Canandaigua Mod Money To Johnson

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — Alan Johnson banked $6,400 for winning the big-block modified portion of the third annual Jan Corcoran Memorial during the 50th season opener at Canandaigua Motorsports Park.

Johnson outran Larry Wight to win the 64-lap event on the half-mile oval, while Jimmy Phelps, Matt Sheppard and Billy Dunn rounded out the top five.

Mike Welch won the street stock race and Rick Miller claimed the crate late model feature.
