Johnson Tops Southern Tier 100

KIRKWOOD, N.Y. — Veteran modified racer Danny Johnson added another gem to his crown Saturday night, capturing the Southern Tire 100 at Five Mile Point Speedway.

Johnson banked $5,555 for winning the Race of Champions sanctioned 100-lapper over Jimmy Phelps, Stewart Friesen, Rick Laubach and Pat Ward.

Other winners on the card were Jason Butler in street stocks and Shawn Bruce in IMCA modifieds.
