PORT COLBORNE, Ontario – Gary Lindberg picked up his sixth victory of 2014 for the PC Works DIRTcar Sportsman on JC Auto Night Sunday at New Humberstone Speedway.

Dennis Lunger Jr. won his second Cosco Haulage RUSH Late Model main event of 2014. Jim Lampman earned his first win of the season for the JC Auto Street Stocks. Kyle Rothwell raced his way to his third TC Decals Mini Stock feature of the 2014 season. Colton Ledingham won his third Mike Knapp Ford Pro 4 Trucks feature of the season. Dave Larocque was victorious for the Flag Pole Race Eve of Destruction Qualifier.

Chris Bellamy and third generation driver Ryan Turner battled for the lead early in the 25 lap main event for the PC Works DIRTcar Sportsman with Turner getting the advantage with Brad Rouse and Gary Lindberg jumping into second and third early on. Rouse did the slide job to Turner to take over the lead on lap two. Lindberg moved into second on lap six and quickly began reeling in Rouse. Lindberg went to the outside and used the cushion to pull to even terms with the leader and Lindberg would clear Rouse for the lead on lap 10.

Lindberg would pull away from Rouse and Turner at the races halfway point with Darrell Farraway in fourth and Adam Leslie running in the top five. Lindberg would catch the rear of the field on lap 18. Austin Wood would take over the fifth spot from Leslie on lap 22. Lindberg would pull away to pick up the victory over Rouse, Turner, Wood and Farraway in the top five.

Rob Pietz and Jeff Dayman led the field of Cosco Haulage RUSH Late Models to the green flag for their 20 lap feature event with Pietz jumping out into the early lead. Dennis Lunger Jr. took over second from Dayman on lap two with Jorden Peters and Rob Ledingham racing in the top five. The caution came out on lap six for the first time for Jeff Dayman who lost his left front wheel as the tire came right out of the car.

The restart saw Lunger take over the lead from Pietz as Peters and Ledingham battled for third. Peters would then go after Pietz for second at the midway point but Pietz was able to maintain the position. With Lunger pulling away from the field, Pietz and Peters put on a classic battle for second with Pietz edging out Peters for second at the line.
