Black Hills Racer Dies In Accident

WALL, S.D. – Black Hills Speedway racer Travis McDonnell was found dead beneath his race car Monday morning at his home in Wall, S.D., the victim of an apparent accident. He was 38 years old.
McDonnell was a regular competitor at Black Hills Speedway, where he drove mini sprint cars and modifieds. It is believed McDonnell was working beneath his race car when the jacks fell, killing him.
When family members were unable to reach McDonnell on Sunday, they went looking for him Monday morning and found him dead. Police have ruled his death an accident.
