Murray Adds Another Belt Notch

LEXINGTON, Neb. – No stranger to victory lane with more than 500 victories, David Murray, Jr. added another to his list Sunday by winning the IMCA modified feature at Dawson County Raceway.

Murray took the lead on lap five and never looked back to claim the victory. Getting up high on the steering wheel was Cale Osborn during the waning laps as he rallied for runner-up accolades.

Showing expertise on the cushion and ducking underneath traffic to take advantage was the name of the game for Jay Steffens, who finished third overall.

Rounding out the top five finishers in the feature was youthful wheelmen Jeremy Frenier and Cole Hodges.

Other winners at Dawson County Sunday included Jesse Sobbing (IMCA northern sportmod), Casey Werkmeister (IMCA stock cars), Tiffany Bittner (IMCA hobby stocks) and David Dembowski (sport compacts).
