Van Dee Tops Knoxville Enduro

KNOXVILLE, Iowa —  Darin Van Dee claimed the 29th annual Fall Enduro at Knoxville Raceway Sunday night.

In a race that went the full 200 laps, the win paid him $1,000 for his efforts.  Van Dee inherited the lead when defending champion, Mike Goff, made a stop in the pits to change a right rear tire at about the 170-lap mark.

Goff returned to finish second on the lead lap and earn $700.  Troy DeJong of Bussey finished third worth $500.

Seven red flag periods were encountered along the way for various reasons such as debris on the track as well for removal of stalled cars which were in a dangerous position.
