Walker Tames Rocky Mountain Raceways

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – Corey Walker scored Rocky Mountain Raceways’ Comcast Super Stock victory on the final lap of Saturday’s 30-lap main.

Walker, who started in eighth, was on rails through the final laps and made a finishing push for the lead against early front runner Gregory Young. Walker was screaming out of turn four and finished just .165 seconds ahead of Young. Young finished in second, Tim Fahrner came in third, Al Jones came in fourth, and Cale Perkins rounded out the top five.

The race marked the Pro 4’s return to the America First Credit Union Super Oval. After securing the fast qualifying position, Brenden Fries won, passing Kevin Winders on the front stretch of lap 13 for the win. Winders finished in second and James Cloud finished in third.

Additional RMR Oval Racing Series winners included Jeff Kelley (Ford Focus Midgets,) Donny Sevey (Mini Cups,) Mid-Life Crisis (Double Deckers,) and Plum Crazy (Western States Equipment Figure-8 Trains.)
