Bronson Rules East Bay Modifieds

GIBSONTON, Fla. – Kyle Bronson grabbed the big check for winning the open-wheel modified main event at East Bay Raceway Park Saturday.

Bruce Harvey and Boerner made up the front row for the feature with Harvey taking the early lead. On lap five, Sanders took over the top spot with Boerner in second.

Caution came out on lap nine as Thomas Pratt spun in turn four. After starting 19th, Bronson had made his way up to second on lap 11.

On the very next lap Bronson was the leader, passing Sanders on the backstretch. The caution came out with just two laps to go as John Inman and Harvey tangled on the backstretch.

When the checkered waved it was Bronson in Victory Lane. A great battle for second over the last two laps was between Bill Howard and Alex Boerner. Boerner crossed the line second and Howard third. Tim Gay and Sanders rounded out the top five.

Other winners Saturday included Tim Miller (V8 Warriors), Shirlene Hammond (Outlaw Fours), Eric Moon (Street Stocks) and John Moore (Four-Cylinder Bombers).
