Crouse Does The Job At East Bay

GIBSONTON, Fla. — Roger Crouse outran Mavrick Varnadore to win the headlining late model feature Saturday night at East Bay Raceway Park.

After the duo traded the lead, Crouse took the point for good on the 14th tour of the third-mile dirt track and led the remainder of the 25-lap race.

Varnadore finished second, ahead of Jamie Slatton, Travis Varnadore and Matt Miller.

When Johnny Gilbertson was disqualified in post-race technical inspection, Kerry Gilbert earned his first East Bay sprint car victory.

Jason Webster, Tim George, Billy Boyd, Jr. and Brett O’Donnell rounded out the top five.

John Moore earned his third four-cylinder bomber victory of the season and Tim Gay won for the second time in the street stock division. Marco Reyes topped the V-8 Warrior feature.
