Gay Banks Big $3,000 Hobby Stock Prize

OCALA, Fla. — Tim Gay earned an impressive $3,000 for bagging the hobby stock feature that headlined Saturday night’s Hangover Derby at Bubba Raceway Park.

Devin Walker jumped to the lead on the final circuit of the three-eighths-mile dirt track, but spun with the checkered flag in sight and Gay claimed the 50-lap victory with Kevin Durden, Tim Powers, Grady Christian and Brian Morgan following.

Kyle Bronson led the final two laps to win the UMP Modified feature.

Bronson beat Roger Crouse to the checkered flag with Paul Snyder, Buzzie Reutimann and Barry Sheffield filling the top five.

Crouse dominated the limited late model feature, leading all 20 laps in beating Tyler Clem to the checkered flag.

Jonathan Appleby won the thunder stock feature, beating Shane Nichols to the finish.
