Hoosier Rubber For Hickory Racers

HICKORY, N.C. — Hickory Motor Speedway will be making some changes for the 2013 season.

After a long relationship with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. Hickory Motor Speedway will be partnering with Hoosier Asphalt South for the 2013 race season. The NASCAR Whelen All American Series Bojangles Late Models will be sporting a new color as the Hoosier F-45s will become the Official Tire of Hickory Motor Speedway.

Hickory Motor Speedway General Manager Kevin Piercy stated, “We want to give a special thanks to Scott Junod and the Goodyear Tire and Rubber, Co. “It has been a great relationship and they have been a huge supporter of Hickory Motor Speedway and short track racing.”

Other changes for the upcoming season will be the appointment of Alan Kanupp as the new race director for the NASCAR Whelen All American Series at Hickory Motor Speedway.

Former race director Scott Kilby will be moving to the position of head technical inspector for 2013.
