Lloyd The Master Of Ocala

OCALA, Fla. — Ivedent Lloyd, Jr. drove by Jack Nosbisch, Jr. with two laps left and held on to claim the late-model feature at Bubba Raceway Park Saturday night.

Nosbich ran away from the late-model field but on lap 13 the yellow flew when Josh Peacock couldn’t get off track when his right-rear tire went flat. Nosbisch would restart.

By then Lloyd was fifth, but soon he caught Nosbisch and the fight was on for the lead. On lap 22 Nosbisch made contact with the backstretch wall and knocked a wall tire onto the track. Nosbich retained the lead, but with two laps left Lloyd drove by Nosbisch and held on for the victory.

In limited late-model action Eddie Gainey held off Forrest Gough to visit victory lane. Other winners Saturday included Rodney Wright (hobby stocks), Jonathan Appleby (thunderstocks) and Nick Kerr (mini stocks).
