Pitkat Tops Blewett Memorial

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — Woody Pitkat won the sixth annual John Blewett III Memorial NASCAR modified feature during Wednesday night’s World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing program at New Smyrna Speedway.

Pitkat drove the No. 79 Hillbilly Racing modified to victory ahead of Chuck Hossfeld, who was later disqualified for an illegal rear-end gear. Andy Seuss was credited with second place and Patrick Emerling was third.

Kyle Benjamin won his second consecutive late model feature with Stephen Nasse second, ahead of Spencer Davis, David Rogers and Ryan Moore.

Jerry Symons won the finale for the IMCA modifieds with Josh Todd claiming the weeklong championship in the division.
