Silk Tops New Smyrna Blewett Memorial

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – Ron Silk captured the John Blewett III Memorial tour-type modified race during the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway on Wednesday evening.

The victory is Silk’s second in the annual event, making him the first driver to win the race multiple times. He held off NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Ryan Preece, Tommy Barrett, Eric Goodale and Justin Bonsignore for the victory in the 76-lap event.

Stephen Nasse picked up his third victory in the super late model class during the World Series to extend his class point lead. Spencer Davis, Steven Wallace, Kyle Benjamin and Ryan Moore completed the top five.

Todd Stone won the FL modified feature 75-lap feature to clinch the class championship and Davis won his second pro late model event of the World Series.
