Thomas & Birtwell To Address RPM Workshops
MERRILL, Wis. — How oval racing will recapture its youth will be the central discussion during the 41st annual RPM Promoters Workshops convening in Reno, Indianapolis, and Daytona Beach this winter.
Helping promoters understand the challenge ahead, will be digital and youth marketing experts Michael Thomas and B.J. Birtwell.
Kicking off the 41st Workshops Series in Reno, Nev., Thomas, vice-president of vusiness development for Noble Studios, a leading digital advertising agency, will talk with promoters about why digital media are more than a new way to convey the same old message.
At Daytona Beach, Birtwell, of The Armory Marketing will keynote. Birtwell is regarded as a leading Gen Y youth and urban marketing expert whose credits include stints as Youth/Urban Marketing Manager for Meguiar’s car care products and for Chrysler LLC., as well as serving as VP Marketing for DUB Magazine, the chronicle of urban car culture.
Thomas and Birtwell are among seven specialized presenters on digital and youth topics who will talk with promoters during the 41st Workshops Series.
“We are still confirming speakers and will have more information soon, but our goal meanwhile, is to prepare promoters to confront the biggest promotional challenge of the last 40 years, the aging away of the Baby Boom Generations,” said Workshops Chairman Stewart Doty.
The 41st annual RPM Promoters Workshops Series begins Dec. 5-6 in Reno, Nev., continues at Indianapolis, Dec. 11 and concludes Feb. 17-18 at the Hilton Daytona Beach Ocean Walk Village.
