Bonneau Gets First Canyon Region Win
PEORIA, Ariz. – Michael Bonneau captured his first career ASCS Canyon Region feature win by topping Saturday night’s second annual Summer Sizzle main event at Canyon Speedway Park.
While Bonneau took top honors in the wingless Sprint Car ranks, other winners included Tony Martin in the Southwest Modlites, Adam Milsap in the ASCS2 Micro Sprint Car ranks and Chris Weimer in the X-Mods.
Bonneau advanced from four rows deep to win the ASCS Canyon Region feature just ahead of tenth-starter R.J. Johnson, with pole starter Shon Deskins, 14th-starter Josh Pelkey and Thomas Ogle rounding out the top five.
Tony Martin became the first repeat winner in six Southwest Modlite outings at CSP, moving from the third starting position to take the checkered flag ahead of Vince Perez, Mike Ryan, Scott Domine and A.J. Martin.
Adam Milsap made the most of his pole starting position by winning his first ASCS2 Micro Sprint Car feature of the year at CSP in front of Pat Wing, Ryan Walter, Dustin Cormany and Jacob Hawkins.
Chris Weimer also picked off his first X-Mod win of the year at CSP, beating John Foster and Jason George to the stripe.
