BROWNSTOWN, Ind. — New to the rigors of travel in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Terry Casey made himself at home with a victory Saturday in the 11th-annual Indiana Icebreaker at Brownstown Speedway.
Casey charged from his 16th-starting spot, taking the lead from Bart Hartman and holding on over the final 27 laps to pocket $10,000 for his second-career victory in the series.
Working the middle of the track, Casey managed to clear Hartman, who started 13th, after the final restart.
Early leader Justin Rattliff finished second ahead of Hartman, three-time Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion Earl Pearson, Jr. and Steve Casebolt.
With the victory, Casey took over the series point lead as well as the chase for Rookie of the Year honors.
