15-Race Slate Set For MACS
INDIANA, Pa. — The Mid-Atlantic Championship Series will open its 12th season on April 12 with the Western Maryland Open 50 at Allegany County Speedway in Cumberland, Md.
The 2008 MACS current schedule includes 15 races and ends with the $12,000-to-win Big Kahuna VIII, which is also at “The Rock,” Allegany County Speedway, on Oct. 3-4.
“More events will be added as we go through the rest of the late winter months and early spring,” said Jeff Geesey, series event coordinator of the tentative schedule.

Speedway, Cumberland, Md.; April 13, TBA; June 13, TBA; June 14, Virginia Motor Speedway, Jamaica, Va.; June 21, Sharon Speedway, Hartford, Ohio; June 22, Eriez Speedway, Hammett, Pa.; July 4, Portsmouth (Ohio) Raceway Park; July 5, Portsmouth Raceway Park; Aug. 8, TBA; Aug. 9, Virginia Motor Speedway; Aug. 22, Hilltop Speedway, Millersburg, Ohio; Aug. 30, Hesston (Pa.) Speedway; Sept. 27, Hilltop Speedway; Oct. 3-4, Allegany County Speedway.
