BEAUMONT, Texas — Lee Davis took advantage of pole-sitter Kevin Sitton’s last-lap troubles at Golden Triangle Speedway, nabbing the O’Reilly Southern United Professional Racing Series win Friday night.
Sitton was leading on the final lap, but heading off of turn four issues with his fuel pump got the best of his machine, allowing Davis to charge by.
Duke Whiseant, Kyle Cummings and Howard Willis closed out the top five. Davis pocketed a payout of $2,000 for the win. It was his first series victory in three years.
