COCHRAN, Ga. — Car count was low Saturday night at Cochran Motor Speedway and car problems and wrecks reduced the seven-car field to four by the time the checkered flag waved in the National Late Model Series event.
Steve Jones started on the pole and jumped to an early lead when the green flag waved, but ran into technical problems before the halfway point and entered the pits early. Once Jones was gone, the battle for the point was fierce with frequent changes between Brandon Cameron and Clay Bedenbaugh. When the checkered flag waved, Cameron had the edge with Bedenbaugh right on his bumper.
Billy Lyles and Jeremy Faircloth completed the top four.
