Neumann, Miller Split Twins at CCS; WDRL Announces Schedule
TUCSON, ARIZ. — Tucson Raceway Park kicked off its season with six different classes filling the night with intense racing.
In late models, Trent Snyder took the lead after 13 laps, holding off Joe Paladenic and a late-charging Scott Rueschenburg to claim the win.
Tom Mikla swept the night in the factory stocks, first taking the heat win before wrapping up the night with a feature victory over Loren Sheffield.
Other winners were: Josh Davis (sports compact), Chris Stress (modifieds), Shawn Perrin (bombers) and Karl Griggs (bomber lites).
Drivers Split Twins
CITRUS COUNTY SPEEDWAY, Feb. 23, Inverness, Fla.
Herb Neumann, Jr. and Scott Miller were the super late model Twin 50 winners at Citrus County Speedway on Saturday. Neumann started seventh in the first feature, picking his way through the field to take the lead just two laps from the finish. Scott Grossenbacher was second with Jim Smith, Ritchie Smith and Perry Brown closing the top five.
The second 50-lap dash wasn’t as challenging, with Miller jumping out to the point in turn two on lap one. Miller led from flag to flag over Kurt Jett, Perry Brown, Jim Smith and Brock Oglesby.
Other winners were: Bobby Ervein (sportsman), Robby Yoakam (mini stock), David Foster (street stock), Chris Harvey (four-cylinder bomber) and J.L. Snowden (Florida pro series).

World Dirt Racing League, Gilman City, Mo.
The World Dirt Racing League released a tentative schedule that includes 20 events across the Midwest.
The season starts out on the historic half-mile Davenport (Iowa) Speedway on April 5 and ends there Oct. 2-3.
