TAZEWELL, Tenn. — Three-time and defending series champion Joey Kramer kicked off the Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series season with a victory Saturday at Tazewell Speedway.
The victory was Kramer’s 14th in 50 career starts in the series and netted him $2,000. Don Adams was second, followed by Kurt Owens in third and Kelly Warren in fourth. Kevin Copher rounded out the top five.
The race started with a four-car pileup before a single lap was completed and included six caution periods as well as a red-flag period.
