FORT WORTH, Texas — Randy Timms captured the modified championship, while Paul White won the limited-modified title Saturday at the Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship before an estimated crowd of 8,100 at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track.
Timms put on a dominant display as he led all but one lap in the 40-lap modified championship. Fort Worth’s Troy Taylor finished second and Chris Brown was third.
In the earlier 30-lap limited-modified championship, Brown led the final 22 laps en route to the victory, but was later disqualified in the post-race inspection for an illegal carburetor.
White had finished second to Brown, but was named the limited-modified champ due to the disqualification. Taylor moved from third to second in the championship race, and Keith Green claimed third.
Timms earned $3,000 for the modified crown while White collected $2,000 for the limited-modified title.
The finish:
Randy Timms, Troy Taylor, Chris Brown, John Allen, Paul White, Chad Wheeler, Bobby Malchus, Greg Skaggs, Dee Gossett, Tate Cole, Derek Ramirez, George White, Morgan Bagley, Mike Roach, Tyler Propps, Clyde Dunn, Jr., Grant Junghans, Glen Hibbard, David Smith, Jr., Cody Smith, Justin Boney, Curtis Allen, Sean Jones, Blaine Shives.
