SPRING VALLEY, Minn.— Things went exactly according to plan for Jason Krohn Thursday night. He came into the opening night of the ninth-annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree as the O’Reilly Auto Parts United States Modified Touring Series point leader, and he finished the night as the point leader.
In winning the main event, Krohn opened the gap over his closest rivals with just two events remaining in The Hunt for the O’Reilly USMTS National Championship.
Krohn started the Holley A main from the inside of the second row, overtaking polesitter Dean Mahlstedt on the eighth lap and leading the remaining 28 laps to score the victory.
Jon Tesch finished second, followed by Jason Hughes in third. Brad Waits was fourth and Tim Donlinger fifth.

SPRING VALLEY, Minn. — Jon Tesch picked up the biggest victory of his career Friday night as he topped the 40-lap O’Reilly Auto Parts United States Modified Touring Series main event on the second night of the ninth-annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree at the Deer Creek Speedway.
The win, worth $4,000, was his fourth of the season against the rugged O’Reilly USMTS road warriors, but his first at the third-mile high-banked oval in the rural hills of southern Minnesota.
Jason Krohn, Friday night’s winner, took second and Jason Hughes was third after Johnny Bone, Jr., who crossed the line in second, was disqualified for being too light.
