DRUMMONDVILLE, Quebec — Having reached victory lane at the same oval one month earlier in Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series for Big-Block Modifieds, Brett Hearn continued to reign supreme on Canadian soil as he captured the Aug. 20 small-block feature at Autodrome Drummond.
Hearn forged the sixth and final lead change on lap 44 and held on for a three-length victory over David Hebert. Hearn’s second-career Mr. DIRTcar tour victory at the Drummondville half-miler was worth $4,000 and provided the defending overall Mr. DIRTcar 358-Modified champion with an early edge in the point standings.
Following Hearn and Hebert across the stripe were track regulars Kayle Robidoux and Mario Clair, with Vermont driver Todd Stone filling out the front five.
The finish:
Brett Hearn, David Hebert, Kayle Robidoux, Mario Clair, Todd Stone, Mike Adderly, John Lazore, Carey Terrance, Lance Willix II, Gino Clair, Clement Therrien, Roy Tarbell, Sebastien Gougeon, Dany Bilodeau, Jeff Marshall, Mark Smoke, Andrew Ranger, Michael Pelletier, Eric Landry, Francois Bernier, Robbie Grant, Steve Bernard, Claude Brouillard, Vince Quenneville, Jr., Yan Bussiere, Pete Bicknell, Michel Dusseault, Alain Laplante, Frederic Gamache, Patrice Demers, Real LaFrance.

GRANBY, Quebec — Matching an effort put forth only once before in DIRTcar Series competition, Kayle Robidoux became the first Frenchman to capture a Mr. DIRTcar 358-Modified championship event in the modern era.
The victory came Aug. 21 at Autodrome Granby.
Robidoux charged from his eighth-place start to emerge as the fourth leader on lap 15 before opening up a seemingly insurmountable lead. The third and final yellow flag waved on lap 71 to erase a near straightaway advantage, and just 10 laps later, weekly rival Alain Boisvert surprised Robidoux with a move to the outside high across the stripe. Robidoux faded to third, but he rebounded and pulled off a perfect slide job past Boisvert to retake the lead on lap 88.
Boisvert settled for second, followed by Alain Boisvert, Yan Bussiere, David Hebert and Mario Clair.
