Shannon Babb shares victory lane with his son.

LEBANON, Mo. — Shannon Babb gave his boss even more reason to smile on Saturday night.
On the same night that his famous car owner, Clint Bowyer, was triumphant in NASCAR Sprint Cup competition at Richmond Int’l Raceway, Babb authored a flawless drive to victory in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series All-State Insurance 40 at Lebanon I-44 Speedway.
Babb advanced from the fourth starting spot to pass Rick Eckert for the lead on lap 12 and never looked back. Driving a new Traiger Grills/Chevrolet Rocket car that had never before seen action, Babb repelled a late-race challenge from Eckert and Billy Moyer to score his first WoO LMS victory of the season.
“Not very often do you get a car that feels that good,” said Babb, who registered his seventh career WoO LMS A-Main win. “Tommy (Grecco) and Jay (Hunt) did a great job putting it together and I had 100 percent confidence in it.”
Rick Eckert, who started from the outside pole and led laps 1-11, settled for a $5,100 runner-up finish.
Moyer finished third, followed by 11th-starter Wendell Wallace and fast-qualifier Clint Smith.
The finish:
Shannon Babb, Rick Eckert, Billy Moyer, Wendell Wallace, Clint Smith, Steve Francis, Darrell Lanigan, Will Vaught, Brad Looney, Jeremy Payne, Chub Frank, Shane Clanton, Josh Richards, Brian Shirley, Tim Fuller, John Blankenship, Jack Sullivan, Brian Birkhofer, Terry Phillips, Vic Coffey, Denny Woodworth, Brandon McCormick, Steve Rushin, Bill Frye, Al Purkey, Jimmy Mars.
