Wolfe Is Ready To Hit World Of Outlaws Trail

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — Second-generation Central Pennsylvania driver Lucas Wolfe will race full time with the World of Outlaws next season.
After five seasons competing against the always tough competition in Central Pennsylvania, Wolfe recently announced that he will join the World of Outlaws in 2008, as a contender for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award.
Wolfe was a true outlaw in 2007, competing nearly 100 times at various tracks on the East Coast, as well as a couple of visits to the Midwest and the South. The native of Mechanicsburg, Pa., won 10 times in 2007.
He will continue to drive for the Allebach Racing Team, the team for which he has competed since he began racing micro sprints in 2001. The team will utilize a Maxim chassis with Don Ott engines under the hood.
Randy Wolfe, who is Lucas’s father, will be the crew chief for the team. Also joining the team for the 2008 season will be Rick Kaylor as well as Jesse and Lorraine Keen.
“I’m very excited,” said Wolfe. “This is something that I have always wanted to do, ever since we have been running a sprint car. I have always been working toward it. I’m happy that an opportunity has come together for us to go out there and give it a shot.”
