Dialed-In Monroe Too Much In Opener

NEWBERRYTOWN, Pa. — Randy Monroe, Jr. and his H&B Railroad-sponsored midget were on rails in Saturday night’s ARDC opener at Susquehanna Speedway Park.
Monroe charged from his fourth-starting spot to take the lead on the fourth lap of the 20-lap main event. Once there, he stretched his advantage to as much as a straightaway before a penultimate-lap caution bunched the field.
Brett Arndt finished second followed by P.J. Gargiulo in third, Frank Polimeda in fourth and Andy Martin in fifth. Billy Pauch, Jr. charged from his 18th-starting spot to finish sixth.
It was Monroe’s third-career ARDC victory.

The finish:
Randy Monroe, Jr., Brett Arndt, P.J. Gargiulo, Frank Polimeda, Andy Martin, Billy Pauch, Jr., Dave Shirk, Tracy Readinger, Nick Wean, A.J.
