No Ghost At Susky

NEWBERRYTOWN, Pa. — P.J. Gargiulo exorcised the ghost of a near miss at Susquehanna Speedway Park with Sunday’s ARDC victory.
Gargiulo, who lost the 2006 season-ending race at SSP by inches to Ray Bull, made sure there would be no disappointment this time around.
Tracy Readinger and Andy Martin battled back and forth for the lead as Gargiulo lurked close behind in third. With Martin in the extreme high groove and Readinger clinging close to the inside rail, Gargiulo rolled through the middle before diving for the inside between turns three and four on lap 15 and passing both Readinger and Martin for the point.
Gargiulo survived a pair of restarts and held on the rest of the way for the victory. Martin settled for second ahead of Readinger in third. Steve Lenig and Brett Arndt competed the top five.
The finish:
P.J. Gargiulo, Andy Martin, Tracy Readinger, Steve Lenig, Brett Arndt, A.J. Ernesto, Eric Heydenreich, Drew Heistand, Randy Monroe, Jr., Ryan Watt, Shane Penny, Zack Martini, Bruce Buckwalter, Nick Wean, Jimmy Commock, Carey Becker, Frank Polimeda, Scott Zipp, Jack Spence, Greg Robinson, Chris Zrinski, Dave Shirk, Steve Buckwalter, Mark Lawshe, Bobby Goerner, Stephanie Stevens.
