Hess Finishes 1-2, Kuhn Stretches Lead

BEAVER DAM, Wis. — Mike Hess captured round two of Duel at the Dam 30-lap in the Badger Midget Series feature Saturday night at Charter Raceway Park, driving the Jerry Hardy’s Buzzard-Chevrolet Hawk No. 44 to victory lane.
It was the first feature victory for Hardy as a car owner.
Hess used the lower groove to pass Scott Hatton, charging past Hatton under the white flag and holding on for the victory.
Danny Stratton, Brandon Waelti and fast-qualifier Brad Kuhn completed the top five.

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — Defending series champion Brad Kuhn extended his Badger Midget Series point lead by capturing the 30-lap feature Sunday at Angell Park Speedway.
After a restart with less than 10 laps to go, Kuhn ran his fastest laps of the race and finished 2.6 seconds ahead of Mike Hess for his fifth feature victory of the season.
Doug Schenck, Scott Hatton and Brandon Waelti completed the top five. Kuhn holds a 174-point lead over Davey Ray in the series standings.
