Grant Bests 'Ageless' Alvis

Aug. 16 @ Petaluma (Calif.) Speedway

PETALUMA, Calif. — After overtaking seven-time BCRA champion Floyd “Ageless Wonder” Alvis on lap 11, 17-year-old Justin Grant surged to victory in the 29-lap Bay Cities Racing Ass’n midget feature at Petaluma Speedway Saturday.
Grant, the reigning BCRA champion, stalked Alvis for several laps before taking the lead. Alvis followed Grant to the stripe ahead of David Prickett in third. Pete Davis and Glenn Carson rounded out the top five.
