Morris Earns First Victory

Holds off Sarale for Lakeport triumph.

LAKEPORT, Calif. — Twenty-year-old midget racing rookie Kevin Morris became the fourth first-time winner of the season in Bay Cities Racing Ass’n competition Saturday night at Lakeport Speedway.
Piloting his father Del’s No. 17k, Morris zipped around Ralph Cortez on lap five and led the remainder of the distance.
He held off two-time BCRA champion John Sarale for the victory, with fast-qualifier Gary Dickenson third. Justin Grant and David Prickett rounded out the top five.
