PLACERVILLE, Calif. — Veteran midget driver Robby Flock used lapped traffic to his advantage to win Saturday night’s Bay Cities Racing Ass’n midget feature at Placerville Speedway.
Driving Mike Sala’s No. 19s, Flock grabbed the lead from Travis Berryhill on lap 11 and led the remainder of the 25-lap event on the quarter-mile dirt track.
“I love this track,” said Flock in victory circle referring to John Padjen’s red clay at Placerville Speedway. Flock dedicated the victory to longtime friend and midget aficionado Marty Boyer, who is recovering from a stroke.
Matt Streeter came on strong to finish second, with Scott Pierovich, Berryhill and Darrin Bolton rounding out the top five.
The finish:
Robby Flock, Matt Streeter, Scott Pierovich, Travis Berryhill, Darrin Bolton, Cole Peard, David Prickett, Justin Grant, Dave Stoltz, Floyd Alvis, Kevin Morris, Todd Miller, Glenn Carson, Jimmy Christian, Steve Dickenson, Scott Nail, Brian Cass, Nick Foster, Jr., Danny Parker, Britton Bock, Rick Haugh, Jr.
