STAFFORD, Conn. — Coming from the 10th-starting position, Bobby Santos III had the lead by lap 10 and went on to a convincing victory in the caution-free, 30-lap Northeastern Midget Ass’n feature at Stafford Motor Speedway’s Carquest Xtreme on July 8.
Santos took the inside route past Jeremy Frankoski heading into turn one to take the point and held off Randy Cabral for Santos’s second NEMA victory of the season and his third-straight midget victory at the Stafford half-mile. Frankoski held on for third with Jeff Horn and Erica Santos completing the top five.
