Stoehr Finally Comes Through

SEEKONK, Mass. — Open-wheel ace Lou Cicconi scored his second Northeastern Midget Ass’n victory of the season in dominant fashion Aug. 29 at Seekonk Speedway.
It was the second race for the midgets at Seekonk in the last five days. The event, which was postponed due to inclement weather July 18, was worth the wait for Cicconi and Bertrand Racing teammate Randy Cabral, who chased Cicconi to the checkered flag.
Bobby Santos III finished third, ahead of Greg Stoehr and Ben Seitz.

Despite several top finishes, Greg Stoehr had not won a NEMA event this season.
But that changed as Stoehr conquered the fast half-mile oval, taking the lead on lap five and pacing the remainder of the 25-lap event. He became the eighth different winner in 10 NEMA races this season.
Jeff Horn finished second, ahead of Nokie Fornoro, Ben Seitz and Joey Payne.
