WINCHESTER, N.H. — Coming from the ninth starting spot, Bobby Santos III grabbed the lead with two laps remaining and captured the 25-lap Northeastern Midget Ass’n feature Saturday night at Monadnock Speedway.
It was the third win of the season and 11th of his career for Santos, who was making his first-ever start on the quarter mile.
With a handful of cars eliminated by contact in front of him, Santos was able to slip past Adam Cantor and Joey Payne, Jr. before passing leader Nokie Fornoro with two laps to go.
Payne settled for second ahead of Fornoro in third. Cantor and Greg Stoehr rounded out the top five.
