Gough Gets Going In Illinois

UMARA/USAC Illinois State Midget Auto Racing Championship

Sept. 9, Grundy County Speedway, Morris, Ill.

David Gough earned his third UMARA midget car championship Saturday night by winning the 16th-annual Illinois State Midget Auto Racing Championship at Grundy County Speedway.
Gough led the final 37 laps, beating fast-qualifier Stephanie Mockler to the checkered flag. Trailing Gough and Mockler were Alex Pruett, Jim Anderson and Parker Kligerman.
Tyler Irwin won the Ford Focus feature.
